Those are your fingerprints!

Everyone has a unique fingerprint pattern.

Every single finger in the world is slightly different, different enough that we can tell one from another.

Even perfectly identical twins have distinct fingerprints.

Fingerprints are useful for this reason.

We can use them to unlock personal things, or forensic investigators can use them to determine who was at the scene of a crime.
