The Waltz

The waltz is a refined ballroom dance that requires grace, elegance, and proper technique. Originating in Germany and Austria back in the thirteenth century, it has since been performed all across the world in numerous variations and speeds.

We will begin with the international standard waltz. This style is danced to slow waltz music. With eighty-four to ninety beats per minute, it is best suited for beginners.
