Human Mutation

There are two types of human mutation when DNA replication faces natural errors. Somatic mutations can be found in cells and are not hereditary, while germline mutations are found in the reproductive system and are therefore passed on genetically.

Recent developments in biotechnology and human genome editing have the ability to make deliberate changes for both kinds of mutation, and the application of this has already been used to address multiple diseases.
