The Sinister Pastor

Do you know, here’s what happened.

One night I had a vision that this would be the day we ended homelessness.

Well ended it here in our town anyways.

I told that vision to just two people that day.

I told it to two guys, and they asked me, “How much would it cost you to help you with that?”

And I said, “Oh, about $33,000 to build a shelter.”

And one guy said, “I’ll give you $16,000 right now.”

He said, “Take my card, Pastor!.”

And the other guy said, “Well, you’re not gonna outdo me, Lucas. Pastor, I’ll give you $17,000. Let’s do this!”

And isn’t that wonderful that people could be that spontaneously generous? To do something so selfless and amazing like that?

So, at the end of the service, I’m out in the foyer to shake hands but also to receive the donations.

Little did they know the shelter was already bought and paid for and this donation would come in mighty handy for my personal projects.
